The hot trend in weddings, that I think is going to be around for a while is candy buffets! We have produced many candy buffets and let me tell you, adults become kids again around all their favorite old and current candies. I love how candy buffets can really assist in creating a signature wedding, one that truly brings out who you and your groom really are. If you're a candy freak, aren't a wedding cake fan, or want to bring out the nostalgia in your guests, candy buffets are the perfect favor for your wedding! I wanted to share some fun ideas with you and inspire you to find the fun elements in your wedding day, whether it includes a candy buffet or not.

Some things to keep in mind when deciding to do a candy bar are:
What type of container are you going to purchase for guests to put their candy in? For our brides who rent the candy buffet set up that we have, Amber and Sweet Life Designs make adorable monogrammed labels to adhere to plastic cellophane bags that you can get in many sizes and has ties available for guests to secure their bags. Other options could be chinese take out boxes, metal tins, glass jars, organza bags, or a themed idea like wooden baskets for a fall wedding. Be creative in your packaging!
How much candy are you going to need? Make sure that you purchase enough candy to keep your buffet stocked all night! You'll have your guests who will fill a bag to take home with them, and some that will munch on it all night! I suggest to have about 1/4 to 1/2 lb., or 15-20 lbs. of each kind, in total per guest to make sure their is plenty! But do keep in mind that some guests will not partake.
How many different kinds of candy do you want? I think that a good candy bar has at least 5 candy choices. No more than 10 since I know you're wanting to stay within a budget! Think of you and your new hubby's favorite candies and choose from that. It's always good to have a variety of candies including chocolate, old fashioned, different flavors, and different textures.
Do you have an odd favorite candy? One wedding that we had in North Carolina, the bride's favorite comfort sweet was cotton candy. So we did a cotton candy machine with an attendant that served Cotton Candy during the dessert portion of the evening. The guests loved it!
Here are some other delightful candy buffet set ups!

I love the apothocary jars! These are rental that we provide to our Delightful Clients who choose our services for day of or planning! We bring in the jars and scoops and maintain the bar for the night, candy provided by the bride!
I love the set up this candy buffet, very nostalgic and I love the refences to Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, one my favorite movies!
