Wedding Dress Find

Every bride has a dream dress, whether it's designer, a boutique, or one from a chain store. This wonderful website has every dress you could dream of, and maybe can't afford, from brides who want to sell their dream day coff instead of keeping it hung up in the closet or underneath their bed in a box. The website Preowned Wedding Dresses has designers from Reem Acra to Amsale to Melissa Sweet to Monique Lhuillier. I was turned on to this website through a resent bride of our's Meagan, who has desired the Reem Acra design, Rich, since she began her wedding planning, but couldn't afford the $5,000 price tag. One month before her wedding, not that I would recommend this, she was on this website and found a "Rich" design being sold by a recent bride who had had it preserved, but wanted to make some money off of it. She saved so much money with this route, and didn't feel like that she was cheating herself of the wedding dress dream that she wanted! If only I had known about this site 3 years, I totally would have bought the dream Monique Lhuillier dress that I had wanted!

Meagan + Jerry- November 8th

This adorable favor cake was inspired by the new Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, and created by Jerry, the groom himself! 10 hours of elbow grease to create this masterpiece!

 

Congratulations Meagan and Jerry! I hope that Sandals Regency St. Lucia is a delight and we can't wait to hear about it when you return!

Nathan and Kate Engagements

Meagan + Jerry- November 8th

We celebrated with a beautiful wedding on a cool, fall night last night with Meagan and Jerry and we can't wait to share the details of the day. But to tide you over, we wanted to share with you shots from Meagan's bridal portrait taken several weeks ago at Cheekwood Botanic Gardens where their reception took place last night. California here we come... Again!

Amber and I are off to Newport Beach, California for the annual Association of Bridal Consultants convention. We'll see hundreds of wedding planners from all over the world and we come together for education on the newest trends, how to change our businesses, and talk to each other about our recommendations and what works for us individually. It will be an awesome time of rejuvenation and learning for us!

 We'll be out till Wednesday evening, so any emails or phone calls we will return then! Sunny California here we come!!!!

Another fun wedding trend in videos

I was perrusing one of my favorite wedding blogs, WeddingChicks, and came across a fun post idea! Many brides send a save-the-date for their wedding because so many guests are coming from out of town, or are planning far in advance. So, an Orange County videographer has come up with a fun concept of a save-the-date DVD  to send to your guests. You could take this video in your reception space, a special place to the two of you, or even during your engagement session. This is a fun way to introduce your guests to your wedding date and include fun pictures of the two of you. Just because they're doing it California, doesn't mean we cant do it in Nashville.
