One piece of advice for Brides-to-be... RELAX and have fun! Have someone else (Like Mary Alice) help you plan everything so you don't have to be stressed on your big day. If you are unhappy and uptight it will show in your photos.

Casey and Jesse were a sweet couple that came to us back last year and wanted a simple wedding to celebrate the simple love that they had for each other. Casey loved the color combination of Aqua and Apple Green and from there we were on a mission for a location that could house her guests for a ceremony and reception in one spot. When it came to the location, aVenue hit the spot and we went to work to find the perfect, simplistic vendors that would work for the two of them. Casey wanted a later evening ceremony and a dessert reception and Chef's Market of Goodlettsville provided the fun and sweet treats for her guests to munch on. Enjoy the story of Casey and Jesse's May 23rd wedding in photographs taken by Tyler Andrews.
Jesse and his groomsmen choose black tuxes with him in ivory and the groomsmen in aqua to compliment the ladies from Men's Warehouse.
Casey choose ruby red accessories, the necklace of which belonged to her grandmother, as she wore the same necklace on her wedding day. I love those personal touches that make your day your own!
Melissa Broadway of Vintage Florals designed tablescapes that were simplistic including spider mums, button mums, and dendrobium orchids with lots of candlelight.
Nashville Event Lighting provided us with pattern lighting, uplighting, and a custom designed gobo that was on during the reception portion of the events.
The delicious bride and groom's cakes were provided by Maples Wedding Cakes.

When It Rains… my husband & I love to sit on our back porch & listen to the thunder crack & smell the rain. It’s so different than in San Diego & we are in love with the texture of weather here.

What’s on your iPod? Jack Johnson, Santana, Indigo Girls, John Jarvis, Sara McLauchlin (sp?) lots of bits & pieces from so many..….can’t say I use it much these days though. I listen to country music mostly when I’m driving.
Travel Dreams… I’m pretty much a home body with no great desires to go “across the pond”, we tend to vacation at beach places, ie, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Puerta Vallarta (timeshare there), St.Thomas. I love my animals & my life at home & travel back to San Diego so much for weddings that I just want to stay in my beautiful new home!
One piece of advice for Brides-to-be... Make time to be with your honey, semi alone (we photographers have to be there though=), so we can get some great romantics. It’s important to hire great help so you don’t have to worry about getting into your reception to check on things. Leave it to your coordinator & the catering staff & enjoy yourselves. I just saw this great line in an email, “Over prepare, then go with the flow.”

A Delightful Day
We had a wonderful wedding this past Saturday with Jennifer & Paul at Belle Meade Plantation!
A Delightful Day designed all the decor and created the floral arrangements. Jennifer and Paul were wanting a very romantic, vintage look with lots of candlelight and simple but chic florals. We used dahlias, spider mums and big blooming polo roses as well as some vintage glassware and mercury votives to achieve our look. I especially loved the little bird and nest accents the I tucked in 'here and there' at each table. And of course, my favorite centerpiece were the birdcage tables!
Sweet Life Designs provided the coordinating table numbers, escort cards and gobo design to incorporate the vintage bird motif we used on all of their wedding paper goods.

I (Jody) love capturing the candid moments and all the details, and Zach brings his mad lighting skills to the table fashioning unique, and stylized images at the same time. We also would classify our work as fresh and real. What you see on our site, is exactly what you get. We shoot everything in-camera with minor post processing on the computer! Our images never see the inside of Photoshop.

Last on our Summer Table Trends series is a trend that has become more and more popular as couples are becoming aware of the ecological issues our planet is experiencing and are choosing to make a small dent in a change. Michelle, of Studio Wed, created a Eco/Green tablescape incorporating natural colors of white/cremes and greens. I love the tablescape and I think that this particular design would be perfect in a southern setting like a barn, out in an open space, plantation, or under a tent.
