Summer Table Trends

Flashheader1_1234038899

I love finding new wedding trends and my good friend Michelle of Lemiga Events and Studio Wed in Atlanta has shared some beautiful summer table trends with me and I had to pass them on to you. In March Michelle opened the Atlanta branch of Studio Wed, which is a stylish and sophisticated planning studio where Atlanta's best wedding vendors come to the bride. Meet with a photographer in the morning and chat with a florist in the afternoon. Best of all, there's no cost to the bride to use StudioWed's services. There are two locations at this time, Asheville, North Carolina, and Atlanta to serve their area, or destination brides, and more locations are on the horizon. Enjoy these gorgeous tablescapes over the next three days. Today's table theme is Summer Romance with it's yellow's and creme's with accents of aqua. Michelle and her Studio Wed vendors collaborated on the tablescaping and chose linens with high texture, along with flowers with texture as well. Unique, vintage pieces accented the centerpieces and I love the use of the Georgia peaches at the place settings and a vintage bottle of limonata. See the complete posting here with vendors listed.  I hope this inspires your Summer tablescape!

New Color Combos

I was searching through one of my favorite websites, Martha Stewart Weddings, and found some beautiful, and bold may I add, color combos for the new season. I love finding new colors and matching those that you wouldn't ordinarily put together. Enjoy! :)

The first color scheme is Gold and Aqua. I very regal combination, with the girly addition of the blue. I love the slight touches of gold and the girly blue ribbon on the cake stand. I love old fashioned cake stands. If you have a cake small enough on the bottom tier, I definitely encourage you to search in antique stores for a cake stand you can use at your wedding, and keep for future entertaining.

I love the modification of the monogram. This would be a perfect set up for any color combination! It's such a simple, yet glamourous set up!

A beautiful touch of color is perfect for bridal jewelry. A beautiful company to look at for colorful bridal jewelry is TenThousandThings.

Traditional letterpress would be gorgeous in this gold!

I love the non-traditional color of the cake itself, blue, with the gold as the stand out accents.

This gorgeous bouquet with incredible texture is composed of mini phalaenopsis orchids and ochre garden roses, yellow tree peonies, fuzzy bunny tails, and millinery flowers feels as if it has just been picked from a field of dreams. A gold satin ribbon ties it all together.

This is a beautiful spin on the traditional seating cards, bringing in luxurious satin ribbon in a solid and a print.

Or for an equally gorgeous color combination, choose a soft pink as a compliment for a girly touch. The unique stenciling was created by a stencil through Designer Stencils and could easily be recommended to your baker for a personalized style on the cake. You baker will love the extra thought you've put into it.

I love the garden soft texture that this arrangement brings with the soft pink accents and gold flatware and china.

And one of Delightful Day's favorite favors, candy buffets, set in monocromatic colors to match your color scheme.

Enjoy!

Green Wedding Trends

Green color schemes have become very popular in wedding magazines and weddings. It's such an organic color, eco-friendly weddings are also very popular, and can be combined with so many different colors. It's gorgeous with aqua, chocolate, simple white, yellow, you name it, it looks good! There are many shades of the green being used; chartreuse, lime, sage, apple green, I could go on. Here are some cute ideas from a variety of sources using the feature color, green!

Some great and fun florals to use in green are button mums, roses, carnations, orchids, and hydrangea. These kissing balls, or pomanders, are fun with green florals as part of your centerpiece.

I love these individual cakes! If your budget allowed, these would be precious as part of your centerpieces at each guests' setting. Also, you could have one of these for each of your bridesmaids at your bridal luncheon and carry your wedding colors over to your other events.

This has such a garden feel. The lush florals in a traditional vessel with the clean, crisp, white linens. Iove the additional touch of a floral on each plate.

Fruits are such a popular centerpiece filler! It's so inexpensive and easy to use whether cut apart or used whole.

I love the use of another inexpensive filler, dried peas!

I hope this beautiful, natural, and organic color inspires you!
