A Delightful Day announcement!!!

After many months of planning, we are BEYOND EXCITED to announce that A Delightful Day will be bringing StudioWed to Nashville!

Mary Alice Sublett, owner of A Delightful Day Event Planning, and Leigh Barker, Event Director for A Delightful Day, will be the co-owners of StudioWed Nashville.  A Delightful Day Event Planning has grown to become one of the leaders in the wedding planning industry in Nashville due to the wonderful vendors and amazing clients we have had the privilege to work with!  Our accomplishments range from beautiful event design to full coordination of many Nashville events.

There will be more details to come as we design our studio which is scheduled to open between December 2009 and February 2010. We will start interviewing vendors in November. Crane Chandelier Project

The Wedding Company located in Canada has begun a wonderful way for brides and grooms to become part of an international community that is fighting for cancer victims and research. The Crane Chandelier is being constructed with the cranes that you send in with you and your fiance's signature, where you're getting married, and your wedding date. For each crane that is sent in, The Wedding Company is donating $.50 for cancer research. Their goal is to reach 10,000 cranes that will be displayed on this chandelier which will not only serve as a representation of the fight against cancer, but you're also part of your own art installation.

I know that this will hit home with so many brides and grooms, as many of you may be right now dealing with this diagnosis for yourself or someone in your circle.

Paris Trunk Show

Brides love bling and The Bride Room is having a wonderful Paris trunk show at their studio in Green Hills.  Debra is known for her one-of-a-kind creations and personal touch. She does one-on-one consults with the bride to customize a complete wedding day look.

A Delightful Day featured in Bridal Guide Magazine

Hello friends and brides! It's been awhile since I've posted - much too long! I've been busy enjoying our new little baby boy who was born in February. It's been a great 8 weeks, and now it's back to work! Thanks for all the good wishes!

I'm happy to share the news that a photo from my 2007 wedding was published in the current issue May/June 2009 issue of national wedding magazine, Bridal Guide, for a feature story on bridal bouquets. Kudos for Dove Wedding Photography for submitting the photo and their beautiful photography. My gorgeous bouquet was designed by Carry Ann Misamore of Fresh By Carry Ann and featured fuschia and burgandy Dahlias, pink and red Roses, Green Cymbidium Orchids, Freesia, Peruvian Lily and Hypercium Berries. Tied with light green ribbon and a jeweled brooch that matched my maid of honor's bouquet.

Photographix Contest Offer

Hello to all our blog readers!

Photographix has decided to try something new to get you more involved with us!  We love all the feed back, comments and, well, the overall interaction that our previous clients, new clients and blog reader friends share with us, so to show our appreciation we would like to give back something to you...We might do this monthly or every other month depending on how many of you guys participate :)  So we would like to do a little contest...different themes everytime and this is how it is going to work.  We ask you to submit an image...story...whatever, then we will post them on our blog to share with others.  Photographix doesn't want to have to pick winners so we have decided to let our Photographix "peeps" do that...yes, that's right, you fellow blog readers get to vote by leaving comments on your favorite pick!  We really think this will be lots of fun for everyone and the great thing is anyone can submit to them.  So get involved with us and let us know what you think!
