Guilty Pleasure…  Organic chocolate bars that are sold at Orbit, the local health food store here in Old Hickory.  They have a fabulous milk chocolate bar called Latte which has espresso and cinnamin and another dark chocolate with chili that is fantastic with a glass of red wine. 

 

 

What Do You Do When You First Wake Up?  Feed the cats and then brew a cup of coffee.  I have discovered the press coffee method... the best!! 

When It Rains…  I wear rain boots.  I am dying to get some Hunter boots.

What’s on your iPod?  Cake, Gwen Stefani, Jackie Green, Talking Heads.

Travel Dreams…  Go back to Italy for a year.

One piece of advice for Brides-to-be...  Hire a fabulous photographer and do not skimp on your bridal book.

One piece of advice for Brides-to-be...  Plan on your big day not going exactly how you had it planned!  Take each moment as it comes, laugh, enjoy and oh yeah…..rent a photo booth so you have some fun!

Maples Wedding Cakes - New Website Launched

I had the honor of redesigning the website of Maples Wedding Cakes and I'm happy to announce the launch of it as of this morning: http://www.maplesweddingcakes.com

Jay Qualls and his bakery have unbelievably beautiful and delicious cakes! Mary Alice came along for the photoshoot with myself and Dove Wedding Photography a few weeks back. His shop is filled with dozens of beautiful sample cakes to view. MWC is unique in that each cake is especially designed for each client! He actually sketches out your cake during your consultation and you taste dozens of delicious flavors.  My personal favorite flavor is orange dreamsicle. Yum! I do love the Almond as well...and strawberry...oh..I can't decide which is best!

Our Vendor Spotlight for this week, well overdue, is one of my all-time favorite vendors to work with! The trend in weddings is lighting and Blake Chaffin with Nashville Event Lighting is the best in Nashville by A Delightful Day's opinion! :) Blake has chosen some of his favorite lighting situations to showcase his talent and skill for us! Many of you may have known Blake as SelectSound Entertainment. He still DJ's occasionally, for his favorite wedding planner Mary Alice :), but lighting is his true passion and desired career!
